TODD A. Burgess
Todd is the Managing Attorney at The Burgess Law Group and one of the most preeminent commercial bankruptcy attorneys in Arizona. Since 1998, he has practiced exclusively in the areas of commercial bankruptcy, creditors rights, loan enforcement, and financial restructuring work. Todd has been recognized as a top Business Bankruptcy Attorney by Southwest Super Lawyers® (2011, 2012, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) and by The Best Lawyers in America© (2020) for his work in Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law. Todd represents debtors, secured creditors, DIP lenders, landlords, vendors, lessors, franchisors, trade creditors, and other creditors and other voluntary and involuntary participants in bankruptcy proceedings, state court receiverships, foreclosure proceedings, financial services, and distress litigation, and commercial disputes. His practice centers around understanding the unique realities of his clients’ financial situations and providing them with highly sophisticated legal advice to navigate them through the financial restructuring and commercial litigation process.

Prior to forming The Burgess Law Group, Todd practiced for over two decades in the Phoenix offices of prominent national and international law firms. Todd received his Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Arizona (1996) and his Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude, from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law (1998). He is admitted to practice in Arizona state and federal courts as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
